Housing is the last of the three universally recognized necessities of life, the others being food and clothing.  But the first two necessities can be provided to a person in small measures by others and therefore is more available gratis.  But a house is provided to a small group (a family) of persons and, that too, just once or twice in a lifetime and a large sum is required.  So people, especially in the developing countries, are forced to live in rented or make-shift shelters most of their lives.  The Foundation campaigns for more housing projects by the Government and quasi-Government agencies so that there shall be no family without its own shelter.   There should not be any delay in providing permanent shelters to those who have lost them in natural calamities.
